Mrs Virginia Raggi, the Mayor of Rome and Dan Vardie, AUTOBEST Founder & Chairman signed the invitation letter for the second edition of AUTOBEST Summit taking place in Rome, Italy on June 20-th, 2019. This edition is organized by European independent AUTOBEST organization in close cooperation with the City Hall of Rome, involving not only the Mayor but a significant number of specialists from different departments in city administration.
`We are waiting you in Roma` said Mrs Raggi in a video statement. `For one day, Roma will be the world capital of future mobility solutions. The beautiful capital of Italy will set the new directions on how we can deal with heavy traffic, pollution, parking, safety, cybersecurity, insurance and legal issues in autonomus era and many more burning issues we are all facing in a big city.` added Dan Vardie.
SUMMIT aim is to explore all the technologies we may have today and in the near future, understanding the opportunities but also the limits. The City of Rome specialists will present the specific issues and together with the speakers covering the trends of today, look to find practical solutions for a sustainable future. We will explore all the green opportunities we really have for different vehicles, we are eager to understand how connected are able to be and how much this will help the mobility, what is the future and how far is the autonomous vehicle and how ride sharing can contribute to the mobility solutions of tomorrow.
A remarkable number of international guests will come, from specialists in different technologies and mobility solutions to other big European cities representatives. We are counting on more than 20-25 media from all around Europe in addition to the local media to promote the SUMMIT topics, discussions and identified solutions.
The event is including an exhibition in Piazza di Campidoglio, in front of the historical Rome City Hall, where a number of carefully selected green vehicles will be on the exhibit. The organizers are looking to have an autonomus vehicle able to have a short autonomus drive in the city of Rome. This will be a first and extremely interesting exercise. The Mayor, Mrs Raggi herself is ready to step in the car for the ride!
