It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Håkan Nilsson, Sweden’s representative in the AUTOBEST jury. He lost the battle with cancer this Wednesday.
The AUTOBEST organization and its jury members express their deepest condolences to Håkan Nilsson’s family and friends.
Born in 1959, in Uppsala, Sweden, Mr. Nilsson was the publisher and editor for the motor section of one of Sweden’s largest business sites, DagensPS.se. He became a member of the AUTOBEST jury in 2020.
As a Juror, Hakan was a very active journalist participating to most of AUTOBEST events, in spite of his health condition. Even days before his death, Hakan was reaffirming his support to AUTOBEST and determination to keep following the motoring journalism duties. He will remain an example of resilience and dedication to our métier as motoring writers.
