AUTOBEST European Jury announce the Best Buy Car of Europe Finalists for 202219 / 10 / 2021

DACIA SPRING, HYUNDAI BAYON, OPEL MOKKA, RENAULT ARKANA, SKODA FABIA and TOYOTA YARIS CROSS are the finalists for the ‘AUTOBEST 2022’ award. These cars will compete for the prize of ‘Best Buy Car of Europe in 2022‘. The jury of 32 members from 32 countries, will make their final assessments and cast their votes in the upcoming weeks, with the winner of the 21st Edition of AUTOBEST being announced in mid-December.

AUTOBEST is releasing the logo of ‘European AUTOBEST 2022 Finalist’. The six manufacturers are entitled to use the logo in all of their communication and promotion campaigns in the lead-up to the announcement of the AUTOBEST 2022 winner.

Following the successful first event last year, the jury will again go to Teesdorf, AUSTRIA on November 24th & 25th for the Final Test. The Fahrtechnik proving grounds by Austrian Automobile Club (OEAMTC) gained international recognition for vehicle testing as well as driver education in many areas. With Teesdorf placed in the proximity of Vienna Airport, Autobest established a partnership to perform a comprehensive package of tests to explore the full potential of the finalists.

Throughout the pandemic, AUTOBEST proved to be the only international independent motoring jury to keep the regular agenda of activities. We will continue in our endeavour to offer to millions of car consumers the best assessment about the Best Buy Car in Europe, but also about the best people, companies and technologies we have in the industry today. Furthermore, thanks to the newly created AUTOBEST Think Tank led by the visionary car designer Frank Stephenson, we will more deeply explore the future of mobility, giving to all the people better visibility and understanding of what is going to happen in the coming years,” said Dan Vardie, AUTOBEST Founder and Chairman

AUTOBEST jury members represent 32 European countries, making it the largest independent motoring jury in Europe and the world by the number of represented countries. The AUTOBEST jury pays close attention to the efforts the automotive industry is making. Investments, new automotive job opportunities for people, funds for green cars and technologies, the support for different regions of Europe are all carefully checked by the jury. New in-car technologies and connectivity are also under scrutiny. In total, we dedicate eight awards to these achievements in the following categories; MANBEST, COMPANYBEST, ECOBEST, DESIGNBEST, TECHNOBEST, SAFETYBEST, SMARTBEST and SPORTBEST. In the coming weeks, AUTOBEST will communicate the winners of these awards.

The 21st awards ceremony will take place next year in Strasbourg, France at a date to be announced later, pending on the evolution of the pandemic in the region of Strasbourg. This year the 20th Anniversary of the AUTOBEST Awards Gala took place on 30th September in Barcelona, Spain, bringing together a record number of participants form 34 countries including leading executives from various companies and organisations.

Over two decades, the AUTOBEST Awards Gala has become a key event on the motoring calendar, with a world-class artistic content, a low-carbon gourmet menu and a unique Grand Finale for the AUTOBEST Award. More information is available at www.autobest.org
