AUTOBEST appointed a new member to represent Croatia

Ozren Adamovic is the Editor in Chief of Auto Bild Croatia.

The new representative of Croatia in the Autobest jury is Ozren Adamovic,  the editor of the Autobild magazine in Croatia. Ozren graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zagreb, having an experience of 14 years in the motoring press. He first was the editor of the “Auto” magazine, in 1998, and he went on to work for „Autoonline”, „Auto+”, „Auto Motor and Sport”, and to become the chief editor of the last mentioned magazine. Since 2010, he has taken another challenge, namely, the Autobild magazine, whose chief editor he is now.

After having been a member of the jury for three years, Neven Novak stoped representing Croatia, considering that he has left the automotive press in order to dedicate his activity to a new professional challenge in car industry.

Ozren Adamovic is the newest member of the jury, after the board has studied his work in the Croatian automotive press and decided that his professional profile corresponds to the Autobest requirements.

Ozren Adamovic, in his new capacity as a member of the Autobest jury, declared that: “Being a member of the Autobest jury is, first of all, an honor, being recognized as one of the most preeminent automotive journalists in Croatia and in the Central and East European countries. I hope that I will be able to bring my humble contribution to the Autobest jury, the second biggest independent European motoring Jury and one of the most important organizations on the emergent markets which finds itself in a perpetual state of development”.

Ilia Seliktar, the President of the Autobest jury, stated: “We thank Neven for the 3 years of activity as a member of the Autobest jury and we welcome Ozren as a representative of Croatia. We believe that he is a good adition to our organization, being a journalist with a lot of experience in motoring.”

AUTOBEST organization is the only international independent jury focusing on “best buy” cars available on the European markets. To become an AUTOBEST winner, a car must be the best offer for the average customer. Price, service network, spare parts distribution and versatility are the most important criteria in the voting process. Design and new high-tech gadgets are also coming in line as important criteria’s for voting. AUTOBEST is using a transparent voting system, with a complex matrix of 13 criteria in deciding the winner.

The AUTOBEST Jury is also paying attention to the efforts that automotive industry is making. Investments, new automotive job opportunities for the population, spending funds for ecological initiatives, the support for the emerging regions of Europe are carefully checked and appreciated by the Jury.

For this year, AUTOBEST members of the Jury are coming from 15 European countries and represent a virtual market with more than 300 million people. Each member of the Jury is an outstanding motoring journalist, a respected voice in his country. AUTOBEST is the second largest independent motoring Jury of Europe.
