The AUTOBEST Jury is welcoming a new Norwegian representative11 / 07 / 2017

AUTOBEST Jury welcomes David Kordahl Andersen, as the new member representing Norway. He is replacing Arnstein Landsem. David is the editor of one of the most important on-line car media channels, Bil og Motorbloggen and the “car expert” of VG, the largest newspaper in Norway and the biggest website.

“We are very happy to welcome David as the new representative of Norway in AUTOBEST Jury, the largest independent motoring Jury of Europe. David is a passionate leading motoring writer of his country. He has an in-depth approach of the car industry, with a deep understanding of the future of mobility. David is coming from a country where the electromobility is a great success. We look forward to his contribution to the AUTOBEST Jury. We also want to thank Arnstein for his activities in the Jury and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.” stated Dan Vardie, Founder and Chairman of AUTOBEST organization.

On his acceptance as a Jury member, David Kordahl Andersen said: “Entering AUTOBEST as the Norwegian jury-member, I am excited and humble. This is a proud moment for me, and I look forward to continue Mr. Landsem’s work and being a part of Europe’s most relevant award for regular car-buyers. My main focus has always been on tedious testing of mainstream cars for the average “normal” customer. As I see it, this philosophy fits perfect with the AUTOBEST-concept and I very much look forward to being a part of this.”

On his turn, Arnstein Landsem added: „I am sorry to announce that I have left the AUTOBEST Jury. This is because I have gotten a new job, which means I cannot test new cars anymore, and therefore cannot fulfil my role as an Autobest jury member. Together with Dan I have worked on finding my replacement, and I am positive that David will be a great asset to the Autobest Jury as the Norwegian member. I have had a great time working with and for Autobest, and have only positive memories from my time with AUTOBEST. It has been a pleasure to get to know some of you, and I hope I might see some of you again one day. I am proud to have been a member of Autobest and I wish you all a great future, and hope that AUTOBEST will continue to prosper and grow“.

David Kordahl Andersen membership is coming into force from now on. Consequently, he will participate to all the AUTOBEST Jury related activities, effective immediately. More info on www.autobest.org

About AUTOBEST

The AUTOBEST organization was established in 2001 with the revolutionary concept of “best buy car” available on the European market. A total of 31 European nations is represented in the Jury, covering the vast majority of the European population. It is largest independent motoring Jury of Europe by the number of represented countries.  For a car to become an AUTOBEST winner, it must represent the best offering for most European customers. Price, service network, spare parts distribution and versatility are the most important criteria in the voting process. Design and new technologies are becoming important criteria for voting. AUTOBEST uses a transparent voting system, with a complex matrix of 13 criteria to decide the winner.
