Spain is one of the biggest car markets in Western Europe with sales about one million units yearly. All the European, Asian and American brands are represented in the market, most of it the based in Madrid and others in Barcelona. Spain is also the second manufacturer in Western Europe after Germany with plants from General Motors, PSA, Renault, Nissan, Volkswagen Group (SEAT and Volkswagen), Ford and a yearly production of about two million cars.

Motoring Media Career:

I started working in motor journalism in a local media called Diario de Terrassa in 1995.
In 1997 I moved to the editorial Alesport, owned by Jaime Alguersuari, the father of the former Toro Rosso F1 driver with the same name. There I was the main editor for some specialized motoring magazines including SOLO AUTO 4×4, the best 4×4 specialized magazine in Spain, SOLO AUTO SPORT, focused on high performance cars, SOLO AUTO MONOVOLUMEN Y FAMILIARES, dedicated to family cars and minivans and COTXES a generalist cars magazine in catalan language.
I have been also a contributor in the newspapers El Periódico de Catalunya and El Punt Avui, in both cases publishing articles on cars and motorsport.

RECENT ACTIVITIES:

Contributor for the editorials Planeta and Altaya, writing books on cars and motorsport.

I’m really pleased to be a member of such ambitious award (in terms of growing and reaching Western Europe) and very proud to be chosen as the only member of the Spanish jury.
